Born and raised in Roseville, California, Ben attended Culinary School and started out his career in hospitality early on working at Olive Garden and Ruth's Chris steakhouse. Often working two full time jobs, Ben spent the next few years gaining experience at multiple restaurants in Roseville such as Paul Martins, Il Fornaio and eventually The Greenhouse, as their Sous Chef.
After becoming a father to two beautiful boys, Ben moved to Sacramento where he met Chef Deneb at the Firehouse Restaurant in 2009. Working his way up to Lead Line Cook, Ben became involved with menu development, nightly specials and catering.
After leaving the Firehouse, Ben worked at the Zinfandel Grille for five years where he created daily soup and menu specials before reuniting with his long time mentor Deneb to take an am prep position at Allora.
Ben is currently Prep Supervisor and is an important part of the Allora team. He is in charge of preparing the
Allora kitchen for service and makes a lot of our delicious fresh pastas! In his free time Ben coaches both of his sons basketball teams, enjoys spending time with his wife and being outdoors riding road bikes and kayaking.
